What Is DPI?

DPI (Dots Per Inch)

Also known as PPI (Pixel Per Inch)

DPI is used to describe the resolution number of dots per inch in a digital print.  A computer screen doesn’t have Dots so therefore uses Pixels.

Why is it import to scan at a minimum 300 DPI?  The more dots you scan the better quality print you will get at the end.  While Photo Repair Australia is only correcting the image to return to you for printing, the more dots we have to work with the better the quality of the repair.
